Admission to the SCBScN program is based on a competitive entry process. The program is open for applications from October 1 to February 15.
Online applications close at 11:59 pm Saskatchewan time; in person applications must be handed in by 4:30 p.m. Saskatchewan time on the stated deadline date) each academic year.
For international applicants with student visas, the application period closes on December 31.
There is a non-refundable application fee of $100 which must be submitted with your application form. If you are applying online, payments can only be made using a credit card.
If you are a current or former University of Regina student, you are not required to pay this application fee; however, you must provide your U of R student number for verification and check off the box on the application form indicating that you are a current/former University of Regina student.

Applicants for the Swift Current or North Battleford locations: Preference will be given to applicants who are residents of either the RM of Swift Current or the RM of North Battleford. Documents to be submitted with application and deadlines
If prerequisites were completed at the high school level, a high school transcript must be provided in addition to all post-secondary transcripts. An official transcript must be submitted directly from the institution(s) to Saskatchewan Polytechnic by March 1. All post secondary transcripts must be mailed directly from the institution attended to Saskatchewan Polytechnic by March 1.
If you are conditionally accepted because you are enrolled in post-secondary courses at or beyond the admission deadline, an official transcript must be submitted directly from the institution to Saskatchewan Polytechnic by August 1. Applicants with outstanding grades at another post-secondary institution as of August 1 will be required to have an additional transcript submitted to Saskatchewan Polytechnic by September 1.
If you are an international applicant, all documents must be submitted to Saskatchewan Polytechnic by January 31.
Students must submit official transcripts from ALL post-secondary institutions attended even if fewer than 15 credit hours are completed. Failure to disclose attendance at another post-secondary institution may lead to cancellation of application.
All applicants who have completed post-secondary course work must be considered in good standing (ie. Not on faculty level or university level probation) at the U of R or former academic institution as of the start date of the program to retain their seat.
Decision and notification of successful applicants
Admission to the SCBScN program is competitive, therefore only students with the highest admission average will be selected.
All decisions will be made after the application deadline. Initial admission offers will be communicated electronically using the “applicant tab” on your mySaskPolytech account, prior to mid-April. Please ensure that you are checking your account frequently, or direct communication to an account that you do access frequently. Unless otherwise stated, you typically have 15 days to respond to any further requests.
If accepted, you will receive an admission decision for each site location to which you’ve applied. However, you can ACCEPT a position at only ONE site.
The deadline for responding to the offer of admission is noted in your letter of offer.
